This policy explains what information DigDig Demolition ("DigDig", "we", "us" or "our") collects through digdigdemolition.com.au, why we collect it, and how we look after it. By using this website or submitting a quote request, you agree to the practices described below.
Who we are
DigDig Demolition is a residential and commercial demolition contractor operating under Dig Dig Pty Ltd, based in Carrum Downs, Victoria. You can reach us at sales@digdigdemolition.com or 0412 545 861, or by mail at P.O. Box 761, Mount Eliza VIC 3930.
Information we collect
We only collect information that helps us quote and deliver demolition work, and to understand how people use our website. This falls into three categories:
1. Information you give us directly
When you submit a quote request through our contact form, we collect your name, phone number, and whatever else you choose to include — email address, property details, job type and a description of the work. This is sent directly to our enquiries inbox so our team can get back to you. We don't ask for anything beyond what's needed to quote your job.
2. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use analytics tools — Google Analytics and PostHog — to understand how visitors use our site: which pages are viewed, how people arrive here (for example from a Google search), general device and browser information, and approximate location based on IP address. These tools use cookies or similar small files stored in your browser. This information is aggregated and isn't used to identify you personally.
3. Project and site photos
The photos shown in our Projects gallery are taken by our own crew during demolition jobs, for the purpose of showcasing completed work. These are submitted and reviewed through an internal tool used only by DigDig staff and contractors — it isn't a public feature of the site, and it isn't used to collect information from visitors.
How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request and discuss your job
- To keep records of enquiries and jobs for our own business purposes
- To understand how our website is performing and where we can improve it
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed demolition contractor
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it for anything beyond running and improving our business.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our enquiry process, each of whom only receives what they need to do their job:
- Web3Forms — delivers quote request submissions from our contact form to our inbox
- Google Analytics and PostHog — website usage analytics
- Supabase — secure database hosting for our completed-projects records
We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law, or where it's necessary to deliver the demolition service you've requested (for example, with council or utility authorities where a job requires it).
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser that let analytics tools recognise repeat visits and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time — this won't affect your ability to browse the site or request a quote, though some usage data may be less accurate as a result.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including using reputable, security-conscious service providers for form handling, analytics and data storage. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we don't retain sensitive personal information beyond what's needed to quote and complete your job.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as is reasonably necessary for business, accounting and legal purposes, after which they're deleted or de-identified.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, by emailing sales@digdigdemolition.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are directed at adults engaging a demolition contractor, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Third-party links
Our site may link to other businesses' websites, including trusted builders and partners we work with. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we'd encourage you to review their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our website or business practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
