Brick Veneer House Demolition in Moorabbin

Double Brick Demolition on Taverner Street, Moorabbin

When Crowncon Homes needed a clean, controlled teardown on Taverner Street in Moorabbin, Dig Dig Demolition got the call. The job: remove a solid double brick home to make way for a new build, for a couple planning to rebuild and retire on the same block.

Double brick is a different beast to timber or clad construction. The thick, dense masonry walls demand serious machine power and a methodical approach, so we brought in a 25 tonne excavator to take the structure down safely and efficiently. Working in a established suburban street meant careful sequencing throughout, keeping noise, dust and disruption to neighbours to a minimum while the house came down in controlled stages.

Bricks, timber and other materials were sorted on site, with recyclable material separated from general waste to keep landfill to a minimum. By the end of the job, the site was left cleared, level and ready for the next stage of construction.

For the owners, it marked the first step toward their retirement home. For Crowncon Homes, it meant a reliable demolition partner who delivered on time and kept the site tidy.
