Brick Veneer House Demolition in Nunawadding
A standard brick veneer home in Nunawading came down cleanly, with the job's stand-out detail being material recovery rather than removal. Brick veneer construction gives the crew a head start here — the outer brick skin comes away from the timber frame in large, manageable sections rather than shattering on impact, which is what makes clean salvage possible in the first place.
Two full loads of red brick were pulled, sorted and set aside rather than sent to landfill, destined for one of our suppliers to be cleaned up and reused on future builds. It's a small shift with a real impact: fewer trips to the tip, lower disposal costs passed on, and genuinely usable material kept in circulation instead of crushed for fill.
With the brick recovered, the remaining timber frame and roof structure came down in the usual sequence, the site was levelled, and the block was left clean and ready for its next stage — a straightforward job made a little better by not treating everything on site as waste.
